9 Steps to Get your Goals


9 Steps to Define your Goal Destination and Devise a Plan to Get There

Where do you want to be 5 years from now, 10 years from now, or even this time next year? These places are your goal destinations and although you might know that you don’t want to be standing still in the same place as you are now, it’s not always easy to identify what your real goals are.

Many people think that setting a goal destination is having a dream that is there in the far distant future, but will never be attained. This proves to be a self-fulfilling prophesy because of two things. Firstly, that the goal isn’t specifically defined enough in the first place, and secondly, it remains a remote dream waiting for action which is never taken.


Defining your goal destination is something that you need to take some time to think carefully about. The following steps should get you started on a journey to those goals.

1. Make a list of your goal destinations. Goal destinations are the things that are important to you. Another word for them would be ambitions, but ambitions sound like something which outside of your grasp, whereas goal destinations are certainly achievable if you are willing to put in the effort working towards them. So what do you really want to do with your life? What are the main things that you would like to accomplish with your life? What is it that you would really regret not doing if you suddenly found you had a limited amount of time left on the earth? Each of these things is a goal. Define each goal destination in one sentence.

If any of these goals is a stepping stone to another one of the goals, take it off this list as it isn’t a goal destination.
2. For each goal, you need to think about the time frame you’d ideally like to have accomplished this goal. This is where the 5 year, 10 year, next year plan comes into it. Some goals will have a “shelf life” because of age, health, finance, etc, whereas others will be up to you as to when you would like to achieve them by.

Now comes the more intense part of the goal destination setting - devising the planning of your journey towards arriving at each of your goal destinations. Follow the step by step plan for each of your goals individually.




1. Write each goal destination at the top of a new piece of paper.
2. For each goal write down what is it that you need and don’t have now that will allow you achieve that goal.

This could be some kind of education, career change, finance, a new skill, etc. Any “stepping stone” goals you removed from part 1 of the goal destination identification process will fit into this exercise. If any of these smaller “goals” have sub-goals, go through the same process with these so that you have precise action points to work with.

3. Under each item listed in 2 above, write down the things that you will need to do in order to complete each of the steps required to complete the goal.

These items will become a check-list. They are a tangible way of checking how you are progressing towards reaching your goal destinations. A record of your success!

4. Using the time frames you created in part 2 of the goal destination identification process, on each goal destination sheet write down the year in which you will complete the goal by. For any goal which has no fixed completion date, think about when you would like to have accomplished it by and use that as your destination date.

5. Working within the time frames for each goal destination, make a note of realistic dates by which you will complete each of the small steps.
6. Now take an overview of all your goal destinations and make a schedule of what you need to do this week, this month, this year - in order to progress along the road towards your goal destinations.
7. Write these action points on a schedule so that you have definite dates on which to do things. At the end of the year, review what you have done this year, mark things off the check-lists for each goal destination and write up the schedule with the action points you need for the next year.

Although it may take you several years to, for example, get the promotion you desire because you first need to get the MBA which means getting a job with more money to allow you to finance a part-time degree course, you will ultimately be successful in achieving your goal destination because you have planned out not only what you want, but how to get it, and have been pro-active towards achieving it. There will always be those fattening foods that are easy to make, easy to get, and easy to crave. You think 'OK, I know this is bad but it can't be that bad!' Think again. Here are the top seven foods you should never ever feed your family or yourself!


1.Doughnuts

It's hard to resist the smell of a Krispy Kreme doughnut, which is why I never step foot in the store. Doughnuts are fried chock-full of sugar and white flour and loads of trans fat.

According to the Krispy Kreme website, an average 3.5 ounce sugar doughnut weighs in with about 400 calories and contains few other nutrients besides fat. These sugary treats may satisfy your craving but it won't satisfy your hunger as most of the calories come from fat.

'Eating a lot of refined sugar contributes to blood sugar 'swings' or extreme fluctuations,' eDiets Chief Nutritionist Susan Burke said.



2. Cheeseburger with fries

The age-old classic may be delicious but think twice before sinking your teeth into that Big Mac. The saturated fat found in cheese burgers has been linked to heart attacks, strokes and some types of cancer.

'In fact, fast-food portions are gargantuan, almost double the calories per meal compared to 20 years ago,' Susan says. 'Twenty years ago the average fast-food cheeseburger had about 300 calories. Today's BK Whopper with cheese has 720. To burn the excess 420 calories, you'd have to run for 40 minutes. For example, in 1985 a medium French fry had 240 calories, 2.4 ounces. Today's 'medium' is 6.9 ounces and 610 calories.

'This fast-food meal of cheeseburger and fries has way too many calories and fat grams, not to mention grams of saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol and sodium.'

Let's break down this meal. First, take the white-flour bun (refined carbohydrates) , then add some processed cheese (saturated fat and trans fat, plus lots of additives and preservatives) and then top off with fried red meat (cholesterol and saturated fats). And let's not forget about the condiments such as the always fattening mayonnaise.

Not sounding so appetizing anymore, huh? Oh, and let's not forget about the infamous side dish. You cheeseburger will most likely come with a side of French fries, which is sadly the most popular vegetable dish in the U.S. Don't kid yourself, French fries are not vegetables, they are extremely high in fat and contain a tiny amount of nutrients.


3. Fried Chicken and Chicken Nuggets

With the recent class-action lawsuit between The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) and KFC, the health risks posed by fried foods are becoming more public. The CSPI is suing the food chain for their use of cooking oil containing unhealthy trans fats. The lawsuit seeks to order KFC to use other types of cooking oils and to inform customers how much trans fats KFC's food contains.

Foods cooked in highly heated oils (most notably partially hydrogenated oil) have been known to cause cancer, weight gain and other serious health risks if ingested regularly. A 10-piece chicken McNugget from McDonald's has 420 calories, 24 grams of fat and 1120 milligrams of sodium. One Extra Crispy Chicken Breast from KFC has around 420 calories and eight grams of saturated fat. So unless you want to super size yourself, it's best to make a clean break with fried foods.



4. Oscar Mayer's Lunchables

Sure they are convenient and easy, but boy are they unhealthy! These kid-marketed lunches are loaded with saturated fat and sodium. They usually contain highly processed meats and cheeses, white flour crackers and sugary treats. Lunchables get two-thirds of their calories from fat and sugar. And they provide lopsided nutrition since they contain no fruits or vegetables.

'They insidiously promote obesity by making kids think that lunch normally comes in a cellophane-wrapped box,' Susan says. 'Parents are promoting their children's obesity by buying these items. They're expensive, too. Pack a sandwich and save dollars and health.'



5. Sugary Cereal

Not all cereals are created equally. And while your kids might beg for the latest cookie or marshmallow chocolate surprise cereals, it is a safe bet they are about as healthy as a dessert. Keywords to look out for are puffed, dyed and sweetened.

Most kids' cereals are so highly processed they no longer look like the grains they were originally made from. A healthy alternative is oatmeal. Although, if you are buying pre-packaged oatmeal make sure to check the label and see how much sugar it contains, you might be surprised.

'A little sugar isn't a problem but when the first ingredient on the box is sugar, then watch out,' she said. 'There is no fruit in Froot Loops. But the unsweetened original Cheerios or Rice Krispies are fine, and you can sweeten them naturally with blueberries and strawberries.'



6. Processed Meats.

What falls under the category of processed meats? Hot dogs, sausage, jerky, bacon, certain lunch meats and meats used in canned soup products. Almost all processed meats have sodium nitrite added as a preservative.

A recent study conducted at the University of Hawaii found that sodium nitrite can act as 'a precursor to highly carcinogenic nitrosamines -- potent cancer-causing chem! icals th a t accelerate the formation and growth of cancer cells throughout the body.' So eliminate these meats from your diet before they eliminate you!



7. Canned soup.

Sometimes regarded as a healthy food, soups can be very deceiving. You must stay on your guard because many canned soups have high levels of trans fats, sodium and artificial preservatives such as MSG. Just one serving (which is roughly one cup) can have almost 1,000 milligrams of salt. Also, steer clear of soups that are cream-based, they can be high in calories and fat.

Susan says it is important to 'read labels from back to front. Ignore the health claims, and instead focus on the ingredients and serving size. Watch out for hydrogenated fat (trans fat) and sodium. If you're buying bread to go with you soup, the first ingredient should be whole grain -- either whole wheat, rye or other grain. If it just says 'wheat bread,' that doesn't mean whole wheat.'

Ways To Remove Negative Thoughts



What are negative thoughts and if I at any time should I be affected with pessimistic thinking should I be concerned. Yes is the answer. The more positive you are in thought will certainly help dampen any off-putting hold me back negatives which restrict you from living a decent life, Negative thinking has seen man or woman, who, ideal for a job post lose it before having had chance to secure it, because they believed they were not worthy enough.

Any negative thoughts you have about your self have to be dealt with sooner than later for health and happiness to prevail and more importantly prosper. Negative thinking can affect a relationship.

Cognitive restructuring can help a person identify and challenge overly simplistic, negative thoughts that cause pointless distress. Not a healthy combination, negativity and stress, in fact both very destructive factors. To lead what one would call a normal life will entail you change your way of thinking. What is a normal, normal is having belief in your self which in return will help you to venture forth and cope with the wicked ways of the world and the people in it? To help cure your way of thinking is easier when the thoughts are clearly untrue: e.g. “I never do anything right,” It’s harder when there’s an element of truth mixed in with naive lies: “At my age, it’s to late its over; there is nothing out there for me now.” You can stop there right now; the pope is proof, candidates for this position – 65 years and over. If you have a dream or goals then do something about it

There are four elements you can follow to prevent stress caused from negative thoughts:

1.Stop and take time out to think positive (mental time-out).

2.Control your breathing. Breathe in taking deep breaths slowly to help release growing tension.

3. It may sound silly but ask yourself some questions.

.... like is my thoughts belief or true? Do I make hasty decisions about myself? What evidence do I actually have that I am worthy of the cause? Am I letting negative thoughts stand in my way? Look at situations and view them in a different manner. What would be the worst that could happen? Some people find the healing process (managing thoughts) all too much and opt for the easy way out continuing to put them self down and worse still permitting others to follow suit. Ask yourself that if I did not think this way where would you be.

4. If distortion is the root of the problem, can you identify this and let go?

Practicing relaxation techniques may well be the course of therapy needed. If your problem is genuine, ask what steps you can take to manage? It takes much rehearsal to restructure negative thoughts. What is that saying “A leopard never changes its spots” I beg to differ, if you want something badly and that something can change your life for the better then may the leopard shed his coat?

Remember to be yourself, do not snub reality or take on a false identity. Regularly it’s possible to move your focus toward the positive, rather than lodging on the negative. At other times, you can acknowledge an agonizing truth without losing sight of the larger, more positive portrait. For example, “I should be practicing a relaxation response system daily” or better still “I “want” to practice a relaxation response system daily. If you feel sick don’t let the illness get your sympathy vote, feeling sorry for yourself is not a cure. Negative thoughts usually result in “I feel sick today and there is nothing I can do, hold up, of course there is. Think of what is the best way to treat your condition. Think of the available medications to relieve the pain. If negative thoughts are deeply inset, then you must speak to your doctor or an experienced mental health expert. More people are turning to therapies which include dealing with the mind and body and are bouncing back to reality. Put the bounce back in your stride as you jolly your way onto a new way of thinking.

Tips Kurus Badan








Nak kuruskan badan ni, tidaklah susah mana. Kalau boleh buat 2 perkara ini, insyaAllah boleh kurangkan berat badan dengan cepat.

1. Kurangkan makan nasi & makanan berlemak. Cuba amalkan makan roti yang ada bijirin bagi menggantikan nasi.

2. Buat exercise keluarkan peluh sekurang2nya 30 minit setiap hari. Paling baik ialah ‘jogging’ atau berenang.

Dibawah ini saya catatkan petua atau tips nak kuruskan badan;

* Amalkan Makan Malam Sebelum Jam Tujuh Malam. Elakkan Mengambil Makanan Yang Berat Kerana Kadar Metabolisme yang rendah pada waktu malam akan menyebabkan makanan Disimpan Sebagai Lemak.

* Jangan Mudah Terpedaya Iklan-iklan Merampingkan Badan Atau Produk-produk Pil Kurus. Kebanyakkannya Indah Khabar Dari Rupa. Duit Habis, Badan Tetap sama.

* Dapatkan Nasihat Doktor Sebelum Membuat Keputusan Membeli Produk Diet Yang Banyak Terdapat Di Pasaran Dan Farmasi. Pandangan Doktor Adalah Lebih Selamat.

* Turun 1 Kg Sebulan Secara Tetap Adalah Lebih Baik Daripada Turun Berat Badan Secara Drastik Dan Mendadak. Ini Boleh Mengganggu Kesihatan Dan Kemungkinan Berat Badan Anda Akan Naik Secara Mendadak Pula.

* Rajinkan Diri Melakukan Senaman Seperti Sit-up. Jika Mampu, Berkunjunglah Ke Jim Berdekatan. Senaman Membentuk Otot Yang Sihat Dapat Membakar Lemak.

* Positifkan Diri. Buatlah Target Badan Yang Realistik Dan Perancangan Yang Sesuai. Jangan Memaksa Diri Mencapai Perkara Yang Tidak Logik Dalam Masa Yang Singkat.

* Jangan Asyik Menimbang Berat Badan. Anda Akan Kecewa Jika Masih Tiada Perubahan. Cara Paling Fleksibel Ialah Menimbang Berat Badan Tidak Lebih Sekali Dalam Seminggu.

11. Kurangkan pengambilan marjerin, butter dalam makanan anda. Kalau boleh, usah ada di dalam peti ais anda.

12. Apabila makan di restoran atau gerai , pesanlah air limau nipis atau jus oren kerana minuman masam menggalakan pembakaran lemak. Mintalah minuman yang kurang gula.

13. Buah-buahan dan sayur-sayuran adalah sumber terbaik untuk vitamin, mineral dan serat dan kandungan lemak yang rendah .

14. Jangan timbang berat badan anda setiap hari kerana anda tidak akan nampak perubahannya. Jika anda minum banyak, dan waktu itu anda timbang berat badan yang pastinya meningkat, mungkin anda akan berputus asa untuk berdiet

15. Ambil makanan yang berempah Sesetengah rempah seperti cili, biji sawi, didapati boleh membakar kalori. Penambahan lada hitam bukan sahaja meningkatkan penghadaman, ia juga meningkatkan pembakaran lemak.

16. Pilih Lebih Banyak Bijirin dan Kekacang Dalam Makanan Bijirin penuh adalah sumber utama tenaga. Bijiran dan hasil bijirin banyak mengandungi karbohidrat kompleks, protein, vitami n, mineral dan sedikit lemak.

17. Simpan Satu Diari Simpan satu diari makanan boleh berpengaruh besar dalam proses penurunan berat badan. Rekodkan dalam sehari, berapa kali anda makan dan berapa banyak, tahap kelaparan yang memerlukan anda makan, dan perasaan anda ketika makan. Diari makanan boleh membuatkan anda peka kepada keinginan makan anda. Setelah beberapa lama membuat catatan, perhati dan kenal pasti di mana anda boleh membuat atau perbaiki tabiat pemakanan anda kepada yang lebih sihat. Diari ini juga boleh membuatkan anda lebih fokus dan lebih komited terhadap pelan diet anda. Mulakan diari makanan anda dan rajin-rajinlah membuat catatan.

18. Tumpukan perhatian untuk sihat, bukan kurus
Ramai orang lebih berjaya dalam penurunan berat badan dalam jangka masa panjang apabila mereka menukar motif mereka daripada untuk kurus kepada untuk kekal sihat dan segar.Tukarlah fikiran anda untuk memikirkan dan memilih makanan apa yang boleh menyihatkan tubuh badan.

19. Cara memasak paling baik untuk mengurangi jumlah kalori dalam makanan adalah merebus memanggang atau mengukus. Khusus untuk sayuran, anda boleh menumisnya dengan sedikit minyak(misalnya satu sudu minyak masak). Hindari minyak atau lemak haiwan.

20. Ketika memilih piring makanan , ambilah piring yang rata dan bukan piring cekung. Ambil sayuran dahulu untuk memenuhi piring, kemudian baru nasi dan yang terakhir, lauk dagingnya. Jika ingin tambah, hanya sayuran yang boleh anda ambil. Jangan lupa, makanlah di meja makan dan jangan di sembarang tempat apa lagi sambil menonton tv. Sebab, makin menarik program tv, semakin banyak makanan ringan yang anda habiskan!

21. Selain memberi peluang makanan untuk turun , kebiasaan berjalan-jalan sesudah makan akan membantu menghabiskan sebahagian kalori dari makanan itu. Setiap 25 langkah anda berjalan satu kalori akan diguna. Lebih-lebih lagi anda menaiki tangga. Tentu saja semua ini harus dilakukan dengan santai kerana perut anda baru saja teris.

22. Khusus bagi kaum wanita , yang juga perlu diperhatikan adalah tabiat berbelanja dan memasak. Seelok-eloknya, tidak berbelanja semasa perut kosong. Rancanglah perbelanjaan sesuai dengan keperluan. Jika ingin membeli makanan, kunjungilah dahulu gerai buah dan sayuran. Gerai makanan segera harus anda kunjungi paling akhir sekali jika memang benar-benar memerlukannya.

23. Untuk mengempiskan perut, gerakan punggung yang ringan tetapi lama akan lebih efektif. Latihan dapat dilakukan dengan alat seperti untuk permainan hula hoop. Gerakan ini mungkin boleh disamakan dengan gerakan penari gelek, dangdut atau hula-hula yang memiliki perut lebih kecil dan cantik.

24. Kurangkan pengambilan gula kerana setiap satu sudu gula mengandungi 32 kilokalori.

25. Beberapa aktiviti fizikal yang mudah untuk langsing.

Azimat Untuk Lelaki.....

Wahai insan bernama lelaki, renungilah pedoman di bawah sebagai panduan menjalani kehidupan yang semakin mencabar zaman ini.

1. KETIKA MENCARI CALON
Janganlah mencari isteri, tapi carilah ibu bagi anak-anak kita. Janganlah mencari suami, tapi carilah ayah bagi anak-anak kita.

2. KETIKA MELAMAR
Anda bukan sedang meminta kepada orang tua/wali si gadis,tetapi meminta kepada Allah melalui orang tua/wali si gadis.

3. KETIKA AKAD NIKAH
Anda berdua bukan menikah di hadapan penghulu,tetapi menikah di hadapan Allah

4. KETIKA RESEPSI PERNIKAHAN
Catat dan hitung semua tamu yang datang untuk mendoa'kan anda, kerana anda harus berfikir untuk mengundang mereka semua dan meminta maaf apabila anda berfikir untuk BERCERAI kerana menyia-nyiakan do'a mereka.

Antara Lagu-Lagu Yang Memberi Motivasi Dalam Hidup

Hidup ini ada pasang surutnya, kadang-kadang kita tiada kawan pada saat-saat kita sangat memerlukan kawan. Tapi kita ada diri kita sendiri, yang boleh mencari sumber lain yang boleh memberi inspirasi untuk terus bersemangat dalam hidup. Bagi saya, senikata dan lagu-lagu boleh dijadikan bahan pembakar semangat yang berkesan jugak. Kadang-kadang lirik lagu ini, membuka minda kita supaya lebih tenang dan tidak terlalu tertekan dengan masalah yang dihadapi. Ia juga menunjukkan yang sebenarnya, bukan kita sahaja yang mengahadapi kesukaran dalam hidup, ada ramai lagi orang yang menghadapinya. Jika tidak, tak kan lah lagu begitu tercipta.

Penolong Pegawai Kawalan Trafik Udara ( Asst. ATCO) - sambungan

Tahniah kepada yang telah berjaya lulus temuduga Asst. ATCO yang lepas. Bagi yang kurang berjaya tahniah diucapkan kerana anda juga telah melepasi temuduga ini.  Cuma tidak berjaya sahaja. Namun ini bukanlah benchmark yang sebenar bagi kejayaan atau kegagalan seseorang. Cuma ada masanya kita berada di bawah, dan satu masa nanti kita akan naik ke atas. Macam roda.....

Saya dimaklumkan, ada temuduga yang akan dianjurkan oleh pihak SPA sebelum seseorang itu layak memasuki perkhidmatan ini. Ramai di kalangan calon yang telah berjaya meminta tips dan maklumat yang boleh dijadikan rujukan untuk interview ini. Memandangkan tiada sumber formal atau tidak formal yang menulis tentang jawatan ini, maka saya harap apa yang saya akan kongsikan ini akan menjadi panduan sedikit sebanyak dalam membantu  para calon untuk menduduki tahap selanjutnya dalam pemilihan jawatan ini. Pesanan saya, tips-tips ini hanyalah panduan semata-mata dan bukanya rujukan khusus. Ia hanya menunjukan jalan kepada para calon untuk menduduki situasi yang sebenar.

Seperti sesi temuduga kerajaan yang lain, saya yakin sesi kali ini juga tidak banyak bezanya kerana SPA ingin melihat tahap displin, akauntabiliti, profesionalisme, personaliti dan pengetahuan calon.

1. Displin
Dalam apa jua kerjaya, nilai murni ini amat dititikberatkan. Terutamanya penjawat awam, nilai ini sangat penting bagi menjaga nama dan kepercayaan rakyat terhadap kakitangan awam. Pendek kata, tunjuk kanlah tahap displin anda yang tinggi semasa temuduga.

2. Akauntabiliti dan integriti
Ini adalah istilah dalam sektor kerajaan yang anda mesti tahu dan fahami. Akauntabiliti adalah kebolehtanggungjawaban atau kebolehpercayaan. Integriti pula bermaksud amanah, jujur dan adil dalam perkhidmatan. sekiranya ingin memahami secara lanjut, boleh lah melayari google untuk huraian yang lebih lanjut.

3. Profesionalisme
Bagi menjadi pegawai kerajaan, perlulah menunjukkan tahap profesionalisme yang tinggi. Penjawat awam merupakan pelaksana dasar kerajaan. Tambahan pula jawatan ini telah dinaiktaraf, agar menjadi lebih baik dan efektif sejak mantan PM yang lalu.

4. Personaliti
Personaliti adalah yang positif sahaja. Bukan berlakon, tetapi cubalah sembunyikan kelemahan anda, hanya untuk sesi temuduga ini sahaja. Selepas itu, terpulang lah kepada anda. Tetapi personaliti positif adalah perkara penting bagi membentuk suasana pekerjaan yang harmoni dan sejahtera.

5. Pengetahuan
Sudah tentu mereka akan tanya tentang latarbelakang jawatan ini dalam kementerian. Siapa menteri terlibat, tempat bertugas dan sebagainya.

Some Tips for Making Money

Here's a short checklist of things you can do to increase readership, traffic, and overall visibilty on the internet. These things are all must haves if you expect to make money!

* Write well and write often
* Write what you know and what you like writing about
* Stay with your general topic, and be informative
* Answer comments kindly and promptly
* Never make lame excuses for not updating
* Keep your site neat and orderly
* Your site should be easy on the eyes and easy to read
* Toss out the trash regularly by deleting and blocking spam comments
* Use social bookmarking icon links for Reddit, deli.cio.us and Furl and many others
* Use Technorati tags on keywords in your posts
* Make sure your readers can reach you by email or web form
* Don't have more than 2 or 3 posts showing on the front (index) page
* Make sure your site loads quickly with no major errors
* Frequently check your site in all major browsers for appearance and readability
* Leave relevant comments with your return link at other sites
* Good content is most important
* Don't distract from content with excessive buttons and blinkie ads in sidebar
* Use relevant images in posts, don't over do it

Those are the most important ones I can think of at the moment but I'll probably add more in the future.
